Few objects better symbolize man's quest to explore the world beneath our oceans than the diving helmet.
The diving helmet, made of copper and brass and shaped to perfection, evokes thoughts of a time long since passed. It was a time of master craftsmen and apprentices.
Today, this tradition of unparalleled craftsmanship continues. Nicholas Toth, grandson of Anthony Lerios, crafts his sponge diving helmets using the "old world" techniques that were passed on to him by his grandfather. The diving helmets are crafted using the same wood patterns, cast iron mandrels, lathes, milling machine, and specialized tooling that was used by Anthony Lerios.
These copper and brass diving helmets are produced in a very limited quantity.
